Jr. Track teams set 53 PRs at Lakeside Ram Relays

Jr. High track competed in the Lakeside Ram Relays in Hot Springs on Tuesday. The Jr. Scrapperettes finished in 3rd place, while the Jr. Scrappers placed 6th. The tough competition was worth it as the teams combined for 53 personal best performances.

The highlight of the day came in the triple jump as Sereniti Collins broke the Jr. High school record with a jump of 35' 2.5". This breaks the previous record of 35' 1", set by Kassidy Snowden in 2011.

Kinley Martin - 4th in 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles
Gracie Tollett - 4th in discus
4x200 Relay - 2nd (Shalyn Lyle, Lyris Bennett, Jessie Lyle, Sereniti Collins)

The girls team had 28 personal best performances, as well as 5 season best performances.

Boys Individual Highlights
Carmelo Jones - 3rd in 100
Philip Longtin - 4th in 110 hurdles

The boys had 25 personal best performances and 3 season best performances.

Next week the Jr. High teams will host the Jr. Scrapper Relays.
